i was trying to get to creep factor 10 but we just dont have the powr captain. a navarone goody bag to the person who can identify that impression. i have inserted one of those maps that i can see where you all live. its red and flashes with a little yellow dot where you are. i think its important i keep tabs on you all. i think you should all send me your receipts from now on as well, as i need to know what stuff youre buying, and what youre eating. ive got guys going through your garbage cans right now, but i think its healthier for my staff if you just mail the receipts.

its a pity its got a little white background. it kinda messes with my all black evil lair ive got here. still never mind.

also its kinda depressing cos its just flashing with my own little yellow dot.

the baddies. they dont tell you about that in the james bond films. the nights spent alone. staring at your little yellow dot on your control panel. theres always inadequate heating in these lairs as well. sure theyre ok in the summer, but all that cold stonework and metallic surfaces. brrrr. but what can you do. furry lairs dont go down well .

im going to cut and paste some of the stuff on the website of the little map. i think it will get us close to creep factor 10, here it is:

'Want to know who's on your site and where they came from, in real time?

Not only do we tell you the number of people online, but we also show you the pages people are reading and where in the world they're coming from. Need historical data too? We do that for you automatically.'

also i seen this on the wikipedia page for bonanza. im not sure whether its creepy or what it is but its somethin:

A recurring situation was that every time one of the Cartwrights became seriously involved with a woman, she died from a malady, was slain, or left with someone else. As with all hit programs, disturbing a successful formula could be a major blunder.

In 1968, Dan Blocker began wearing a toupee on the series as he was approaching forty and losing hair. He joined the ranks of his fellow co-stars Pernell Roberts and Lorne Greene, both of whom began the series with hairpieces (Greene wore his modest frontal piece in private life too, whereas Roberts preferred not wearing his, even to rehearsals). Michael Landon was the only original cast member to be wig-free throughout the series, as even Victor Sen Yung's Hop Sing wore an attached queue (pony tail).

before you read about the legacy of mr henry hatfield and roundly condemn the barbarity and the man of which you will read, allow me to bring to the fore several peculiar and noteworthy events surrounding the young henry which will both perplex and astound in equal measure. who can say for sure what starts a man along such a path, some would say it is treatment by his fellow man, others would say it is predetermined in the blood, and others still would point to supernatural tinkerings. i myself lean towards one cause, but my wife steadfastly insists upon another. but i digress. let me lay out a description of young henry, for the boy is very much a vivid little sketch of the man he would become. henry had very poor circulation, a result dr wigton had said of difficulties at birth. this caused henry to have very cold hands and depending on the weather their colour would change from a ghastly purple to a vapid white. it was early on therefore that his grandmother had altered him a very fine tweed jacket with breast pockets halfway up the front. her ingenious thinking being that if his hands were close to the height of his heart then the blood would no longer need to rush or struggle towards his fingertips but find a happy equilibrium around his middle. the clothes maketh the man as they say and this very fine little coat seemed to trademark the emotions of the boy, for a man with high handed pockets such as these were has neither the sluggish gander of a man with trouser pockets nor the flailing busyness of a free pocketed man. henry therefore had a dignified stillness and a straight back about him at all times. an unsettlin quality in one so young. to top off this rabbit like stance henry was supplied with a little cap. a bunnet in fact which he wore at a little angle so as to better frame his face. an angle less than jaunty and slightly more than errant slipping. this little angle served to tilt henrys head for ease of vision and made him appear to have one eyebrow raised in a gentle squint or sneer. this air of innocent mischeviousity was to later harden into a look of evil adult nonchalence. but forgive me if i continue to hint at the picture of the weatherbeaten oak, then you will miss out on the little acorn that was the dapper little henry. i am reluctant it appears to explain the beginnings. i shall cease to blether and simply blurt them out. for that is exactly how the fates intervened in henrys life.

one such event happened while henrys grandfather walked him along the clifftops at gorse bay. he got down on one knee and whispered in henrys ear: 'i am tired of the mediocrity here my boy. im off to see whats next.' and after pinching henrys veined little cheek skipped off the edge of the cliffs into the sea below. they later found his lumpy battered body being eaten by crabs just a quarter of a mile from where he leapt off. the image of crabs lolling around in grandfathers eyesockets became such a gruesome image for the boy that the gentle man he had known while alive was replaced with a demon in his imagination which served to kidnap the happy memories and caused only fear and terror.

Although we typically post on Team Vox to let you know about things
that are going on with Vox (to, uh, state the obvious), once in a
while, we like to let you know about other cool things that are
happening around the blogosphere. And we think the idea of four
hilarious mommy bloggers traveling across the U.S. on their way to the
BlogHer '08 conference - all the while blogging and video blogging the
journey - is one trip you will not want to miss.

Four adventurous bloggers from the Silicon Valley Moms Group were selected to participate in the Summer Road Trip '08 and blog about their travels,
hotel stays, media appearances, time away from their families, and life
on the road. Six Apart helped them partner up with General Motors, who
provided the blogging mommies with a Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV to help
make their journey comfy, safe, and a little more green.

In case you're not familiar with them, SV Moms is a group of over 200
bloggers who showcase the ups, downs,
outrages, struggles, victories, and everyday humor of motherhood. There
are
currently nine regional and demographically tailored sites that give
mothers
from D.C., New Jersey, the Deep South, Rocky Mountains, L.A., and
Silicon
Valley a powerful voice and sense of camaraderie across the country.
Whether you're a mother, a child, or just a person who enjoys a good
blog, you'll really love reading the words of these amazing women.

The moms buckled into their Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV on July 11th and even got an encouraging message from Katie Couric
to kick things off! They are currently somewhere in the middle of
America making their way to San Francisco where they'll attend an SV
Moms Group Party, as well as BlogHer '08.

You do not want to miss these entertaining and irreverent bloggers --
or their spontaneous contest giveaways! -- as they blog from the road.
Experience the journey at MomRoadTrip.com.

And let us know about your summer road trip - or plane/boat/bus trip - in the comments! (I like to live vicariously.)

imagine a boy who had developed daydreaming to such an extent that it could be used as a physical force. a result of years spent staring out of windows instead of at blackboards. years spent staring at wallpaper or carpet patterns instead of listening to elderly relatives. so highly was his brain free of reality or consequence that he would drift-off mid conversation into another world. he would leave soup bubbling till the pot was so much twisted goo. meetings or appointments were merely future no-shows for him. such was the fractured, easily distracted nature of the imagineer. the power of daydreaming had reached such that the imagineer need only imagine his waitress slipping and scalding herself with hot latte and a series of events would occur to make it so. he need only imagine a smouldering housefly skywriting obscenities and a series of events would occur to make it so. the impossible was only a seconds thought away. purple seas. floating cars. 10,000 godzillas. creamcakes as far as the eye could see - childsplay. multiple bodies, time control, artificial intelligence in inanimate objects - harder. his powers were only limited by his own imagination. when the government found out his power they snatched him.

they now possessed the ultimate weapon.

they had kept him locked in a windowless room, on a chair 6ft above the ground. he remained in a half doped semi coma - but awake, believing that sleep would have dangerous dreaming capabilities. in the room was a tv with a preset list of non-offensive programs. laverne and shirley. cheers. nothing sci-fi or violent was ever broadcast to the imagineer in the fear that it would cause violent imaginings. all the actors faces were slightly pixellated so as to avoid celebrity harm. he was strapped up to brain monitors to catch any signs of imagining and to set guards to red alert. on the wall was a red sign with white writing.

"dont imagine! you will be destroyed!

until you are needed,-just watch t.v."

outside the 6ft thick lead walls of the room were rings of increasing concentric circles of guards and tanks and guards and tanks and guards and tanks. outside the labyrinth sat more tanks and men as well as beached battleships all pointing toward the hub, all watching the installation. poised to destroy at a moments notice. all ready to obliterate anything imagined and the imagineer should the need arise. he knew he could escape at any moment. all he needed to do was imagine quicker than the electric signals from his brain could reach the brain monitor and from there the red alert bulb and from there the radio signal to the 10,000 men on overwatch. but what was the point? when you had ultimate power, why not just watch tv?
